Ashraya’s ‘Utsav’ Highlights Community-Led Impact in Education, Health and Women Empowerment
Pune, January 24, 2026:
Ashraya, a leading non-profit organization working with marginalized communities, organized its annual impact showcase ‘Utsav’ on Friday, January 23, 2026. The event celebrated the outcomes of Ashraya’s integrated programs spanning education, health, mental health, skilling, and women empowerment.
The showcase witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, parents, community members, corporate partners, elected representatives, and social sector leaders. Utsav served as a vibrant platform where children and community members presented their learning journeys and stories of transformation.

A key highlight of the event was the student-led presentations focusing on themes such as gender equality, social justice, and community problem-solving. Through project-based and experiential learning, students demonstrated 21st-century skills by presenting innovative projects across STEM education, arts, literacy, and numeracy via interactive stalls.
The event also featured a series of engaging workshops, including sessions on solving community challenges through project-based approaches, promoting women entrepreneurship and community-led enterprises, and preventive mental health through art-based therapy. A thought-provoking literacy theatre performance portrayed the daily struggles of marginalized families, particularly the difficult choices between education and livelihood, leaving a lasting impression on the audience.
Several distinguished guests from corporate organizations, city MLAs, and social sector institutions interacted with the children, appreciating their confidence, articulation, and innovative thinking.
Addressing the gathering, Ashraya CEO Tarun Joshi stated, “Utsav is not merely a showcase of outcomes, but a reflection of what becomes possible when children and communities are trusted as leaders of change.”
Through Utsav, Ashraya reiterated its commitment to a holistic, community-driven model of empowerment, integrating education, health, mental well-being, skilling, and women empowerment to create sustainable social impact.
